Season Overview

Season 2 completely replaces the Season 1 ruleset. Season 2 — the Everfrost Era — transforms the map into a frozen tundra. The old desert ruleset is completely replaced. Mountains become frozen lakes. If you survived Season 1, treat S2 as a fresh start with new rules.

The biggest structural change: no more tile-capturing logistics. Your energy pivots entirely to creature kills and event participation. Manage your fuel. If you learned Season 1's tile game, unlearn it — S2 doesn't reward the same behavior.

What This Means For You

  • Fuel is now your most important resource. It gates every creature kill, and creature kills gate everything else.
  • Bio Lab is the single most important building. It's the resistance engine that unlocks stronger targets.
  • Auto-Rally is not optional. Alliance-coordinated rallies snowball value in a way solo play cannot match.
  • Ranking / captured city control resets at season change. Any position you held in Season 1 is gone. Rebuild with S2 rules.

The New Resource Loop

Season 2 introduces two seasonal resources that drive nearly every upgrade decision:

Frost Cores

Frost Cores come from Frostbanes (16-20 Fuel Per Rally), Snow Leopards (8 Fuel Each), and Yetis. They feed the Bio Lab. Do not treat them as flexible spending currency.

Frost Cores are not flexible spending currency. They are Bio Lab–locked resources. Save them for the next Bio Lab level. If the upgrade takes 8-10+ hours, keep enough for the next level. If it takes less than 8-10 hours, keep enough for the next two levels.

Ice Blooms

Ice Blooms are produced through Smart Greenhouses and spent into seasonal building progress. Bio Lab uses both Ice Blooms and Frost Cores, with Ice Bloom needs several times larger than Frost Core needs. This means Ice Bloom production capacity — your Smart Greenhouses — becomes a bottleneck fast if you neglect it.

The Loop

  1. Burn fuel to kill Frostbanes (and Leopards / Yetis) → earn Frost Cores
  2. Run Smart Greenhouses continuously → earn Ice Blooms
  3. Feed both into Bio Lab → unlock higher resistance
  4. Higher resistance = attack stronger creatures = more Frost Cores per fuel spent
  5. Loop compounds

Break any link and the whole loop stalls. Bio Lab is the single most important variable in that chain.

/// 03

Creature Priority

The mistake is treating all Winter creatures as equal. They are not equal if one target consumes limited daily value while another target helps unlock the next Bio Lab or higher resistance threshold.

The rule: Frostbanes first. Leopards last. Yetis when the alliance calls.

Frostbanes (a.k.a. Boomers)

  • Fuel cost: 16-20 per rally
  • Rewards: Frost Cores (primary), influence on first hit, resistance
  • When to hit: Always first. Clear your daily Frostbane reward window before spending fuel anywhere else.
  • Why: They are the S2 equivalent of Season 1's Boomer daily target. They are the safest default first target because they connect directly to Frost Core progress.

Snow Leopards

  • Fuel cost: 8 each
  • Rewards: Frost Cores, first-clear influence
  • When to hit: After Frostbanes for the day are done. Focus on First Clear rewards specifically.
  • Warning: Snow Leopards are useful, but they should not automatically beat your Frostbane routine. Do not open your fuel with Leopards.

Yetis

  • Attack limits: 2 attacks per day, 5 on Endless Night (Sunday)
  • Rewards: Ice Blooms, Frost Cores, state rewards, discovery bonuses
  • When to hit: Always rally Yetis even if rewards are capped. Coordinate with alliance timing.
  • Yeti-Targeting-You Trick: If a Yeti targets you, start a rally and immediately cancel it. It makes the Yeti take a different route and stops the attack. Free defensive move — remember it.

Weekly Rhythm

Week 1 (Season Opening)

You get 30 attempts. Kill 30 Frostbanes first. Then kill Leopards. The first week's Frostbane reward count is higher than any other week, so this is your maximum-value farming window. Do not split attempts randomly.

Week 2 Onward

You get 15 attempts. Rewards are doubled. Kill 15 Frostbanes first. Then kill Leopards.

Endless Night (Sunday)

Yeti attack limit jumps from 2 to 5. Save fuel Saturday night if possible; do not go into Endless Night with an empty tank.

Daily Order

  1. Frostbane attempts (until your daily window is complete)
  2. Yeti attacks (rally with alliance, don't solo)
  3. Snow Leopard first-clears if you have fuel left
  4. Ice Bloom check — is your Smart Greenhouse maxed and producing?
  5. Bio Lab check — anything ready to upgrade?
/// 05

Building Priority

Bio Lab — Top Priority

Bio Lab is now the resistance engine. This is the single strongest building in Season 2. Every level unlocks better creature access, which compounds every subsequent fuel spend. Falling behind here poisons the entire season.

If Bio Lab is blocked by Ice Blooms, improve Smart Greenhouse income up to the 5-building limit. If Bio Lab can upgrade now, upgrading Bio Lab is usually the better first move because resistance unlocks better seasonal access.

Smart Greenhouses — Maintenance Layer

  • Building cap: 5 Smart Greenhouses total
  • Upgrade cap per level: 8 is the ceiling. Not 12. Waiting overnight = mismanagement.
  • Output limit: Your lowest Greenhouse sets your cap. Miss one → fix Greenhouses first.
  • When to prioritize: When Ice Blooms are the bottleneck on your next Bio Lab upgrade.

Combat Buildings — Delay

Season 2 also introduces player-built ATK/DEF buildings: Command Post, Icy Arsenal, and Icy Fort. These matter for PvP, but they are traps for accounts that haven't finished the resistance base.

Delay Command Post, Icy Arsenal, and Icy Fort until the resistance base is healthy or PvP timing requires them. Check Bio Lab first.

If you're F2P or low-spend, be especially careful — rushing ATK/DEF buildings while your resistance is behind wastes your season.

Alliance Coordination

Auto-Rally: The ECHO Force Multiplier

Influence ONLY comes from first hits on Frostbanes and Leopards. You don't need to solo them. Turn on Auto-Rally. Join every strong player's rally. You get: first hit credit, influence, resistance, resources.

This is the most important paragraph on this page for new operatives. Auto-Rally lets a low-spender farm influence at the same rate as a whale, as long as they join every alliance rally. This is how alliances snowball.

Coordinated Yeti Hunts

Yetis are limited-attempt targets with strong rewards. Coordinate rallies and do not ignore them when your alliance is organizing Yeti kills. If your alliance gives a creature order, follow it. Season 2 rewards coordination more than solo testing.

What ECHO Expects From You In S2

  • Auto-Rally on. Always.
  • Check Comms daily for creature-timing calls.
  • Follow rally targets — do not solo-decide when you see a bigger creature nearby.
  • Report Yeti sightings that target you or another operative.
/// 07

Common Mistakes

Mistake 1: Treating Frost Cores as Spending Money

Frost Cores are earmarked for Bio Lab. Do not spend them on optional cosmetic or convenience upgrades. If your next Bio Lab upgrade needs Frost Cores, you keep those Frost Cores untouched.

Mistake 2: Rushing Combat Buildings

Rushing ATK/DEF buildings can gain you some fighting stats while still being blocked from better Winter targets, cleaner farming, and stronger alliance contribution. Combat stats without resistance is a hollow account. Fix resistance first.

Mistake 3: Splitting Fuel Randomly Across Creature Types

If you are short on fuel, do not split randomly between targets. Finish the Frostbane reward window first, then decide whether Snow Leopards, Yetis, or event tasks are the next best use.

Mistake 4: Overnight Greenhouse Sleep

Smart Greenhouses cap at 8 hours of production. If you sleep 10 hours and don't collect, you lost 2 hours of Ice Bloom production. Set an alarm if you have to.

Mistake 5: Ignoring Yetis Because Rewards Are Capped

Even if your daily Yeti rewards are capped, participation earns discovery bonuses and state contribution. Always join alliance Yeti rallies.

ECHO Doctrine For Season 2

Season 2 changes the tactics, not the alliance. ECHO still coordinates. ECHO still answers hits. ECHO still doesn't leave operatives twisting in the wind. The how just changed.

  • Fuel is now the shared currency of war. Waste fuel and you waste alliance progress, not just your own.
  • Rally participation is a duty, not a suggestion. Auto-Rally on, join every call.
  • Bio Lab compliance is tracked. Operatives who fall multiple Bio Lab levels behind their bracket will be flagged in Comms — not to shame, but to help.
  • Yeti coordination is R4 territory. Wait for the call. Don't pull aggro before the alliance is ready.
  • Merger operatives: if you played Season 1 differently in your old alliance, unlearn it. S2 rewards ECHO's discipline model.
/// 09

Prepping For Season 3

Yes, you should already be thinking about the next season. Not obsessively — but the intermission between seasons is where accounts either compound or stall.

Save your Orange Hero Shards, Skill Books, and Fuel for the start of a new season. When the meta shifts and new S-Tier Heroes are released, you can instantly max them out and secure your spot in a top-tier Alliance.

What To Bank Right Now

  • Orange Hero Shards — the new season will introduce new S-tier heroes; you want to max them fast.
  • Skill Books — same reason.
  • Fuel — the first week of S3 will have the highest reward density, mirroring S2's Week 1.
  • Speedups — every season's opening building push rewards stockpiled speedups.

ECHO will publish a formal S2 → S3 transition playbook when the season ending is announced. Until then: bank aggressively, spend surgically.

Questions? Ask The AI

The ECHO Tactical Assistant knows the Season 2 doctrine and can answer specific questions about your account — building order, hero picks, fuel allocation, whatever you need. Ask before you burn resources.
